I had so much fun with this picture!! For my birthday I bought a bunch of face paint.Some of it came in today and I couldn't resist playing with it. I had no idea what I was doing so I watched a youtube video on how to do it. I bought a book too but its not here yet so I couldn't use that.
I had to do a tiger for my first one because tigers have always been my favorite animal. It was probably a little more advanced than I should have taken on my first try but I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out. (I kinda don't want to take the makeup off. Although it would probably scare the kids if they woke up in the middle of the night and come into my bed, only to find a tiger there lol.)
I'm definitely hooked!

I know it's after midnight so this one should count for tomorrow but I haven't gone to bed so I'm counting it as today. 

This is half of my makeup done and half not. (This way I only have to wash half my face before I go to bed lol)

This is a composite image of me and my mom. 

She has always been there for me when I needed her and has done everything in her power to help me. She loves her family so much. She is amazing seamstress and can sew anything you ask her to even without a pattern. Her artwork is amazing. Her ability with a pen, pencil, ink, tile paint, oil paints etc is stunning. 

She has sacrificed so much to take care of 6 kids and to now take care of my grandma too. 

I often take her for granted but I am blessed to have her as my mom.

This one was fun to do. I love doing the crazy makeup. The hardest part of this was taking off the makeup. Part of my face is still stained green

I missed yesterday again but I'm trying to get back in the groove.

I've missed two days of this project. I hate missing days. The first one I have no excuse for. The second one I missed because my dad and 3 of my nieces and nephews were hit by a drunk driver. We spent most of last night in the emergency room. My dad's truck is totaled. It flipped over and they had to use the jaws of life to get my dad and niece out. The kids came away with scratches and some bruises. My dad broke 6 ribs, punctured his lunch and has small fractures in 4 of his vertebrae. He is still in the hospital. I spent most of the day there with him. 

He has always been one of my heroes. Anyone who has ever met my dad knows what an amazing man he is. I am so lucky to be able to call him dad. His love for his family shows in everything he does. In the ER, even though he was in immense pain, all he wanted to know was how his grandkids were doing. If they were ok. 

All my life everyone says I look like him. In honor of him I decided to my self portrait today as a combination of our faces. The picture of him was taken in the hospital today (which is why there is an oxygen tube) I was surprised at how much I really do look like him. (although for my husbands sake - and mine - I hope I don't look EXACTLY like him when I am 66) :)

Today you get a bonus picture. I love how the whole mood of the picture changes just by changing the placement of the light and the scarf. Completely different.

I had a huge scare today I put my camera up on my tripod to take my picture. Then I turned around to grab my flash and I heard the worst sound any photographer could ever hear. The sound of a tripod crashing to the ground. I freaked! Thankfully nothing is broken. My flash transmitter is cracked but everything else seems to be fine.

Today I was super tired. I've had 3 photo sessions this weekend. Which is AWESOME! I love what I do.

But I got home tonight and didn't really want to do my portrait. (I didn't want to work out either but I did that too - WooHoo! Go me!!) 

This is me after a long day and barely any makeup. This is a one light setup with no flash. I love how it turned out.

I love doing the crazy makeup. This one took a little longer because the silver makeup is actually a tube of eye shadow. I had to go over my whole face with it and the brush was tiny!! It comes in a tube that looks like lip gloss and the wand is basically a lip gloss wand.
My kids thought it was awesome. Well two of them did. The third didn't like it and wanted me to take it off. lol

Taking it off was about as much work as putting it on. (I'm still not sure I got all of it off lol)

I had a hard time coming up with any ideas for today's picture. I do really like how this turned out. I love being able to see the eye in the shadow.

This is me playing with photoshop. I took one picture than I flipped half of my face for each picture. So each picture is actually only one side of my face just mirrored. (I hope that makes sense.) lol

It was pretty fun to do.
